About the quiz

What 8values Measures

8values is a browser-based political quiz that turns your agreement with political statements into scores across four paired value axes.

Why this site exists

8value.online provides the 8values political quiz, a results page, and guides for reading the eight values behind the test. It is built for people who want a clearer political profile than a single left-right label can provide.

The quiz compares four value pairs: Equality and Markets, Nation and Globe, Liberty and Authority, and Tradition and Progress. Those values describe different parts of a political outlook, so two people can share one axis score while disagreeing strongly on another.

Open-source background

This deployment is based on the open-source 8values quiz code. The repository for this site carries an MIT license and keeps the quiz structure visible in plain HTML, CSS, JavaScript, question data, and ideology data.

That transparency matters for a political quiz: the question set, score calculation, and closest-match behavior can be inspected as implementation details instead of being treated as an unexplained black box. The methodology guide summarizes those mechanics for quiz takers.

What the result is and is not

An 8values result is a structured reading of your answers inside this questionnaire. It can help you compare priorities, discuss tradeoffs, or notice where your views do not fit one political label.

It is not a clinical assessment, an academic certification, or a final judgment about your politics. Political beliefs depend on context, issue framing, and changes over time.

Answers, sharing, and contact

The quiz does not require an account. Scores are computed for the results page in the browser flow, and shared result links can include score values in the URL. Read the Privacy Policy before sharing a result if you want the data-handling details.
